Webinar Series: Family Group Decision Making across Children and Families Services

In light of the Government’s Children’s Wellbeing and School’s Bill and the Families First Programme, FGDM is emerging as a critical component in the transformation of Children’s Social Care services.

We invite Children’s Social Care service managers, commissioners, and professionals to join us for a series webinars exploring this topic. These sessions will offer an opportunity to share our insights, and create space for reflection, dialogue, and peer learning.

Our series of webinars starts with two facilitated discussions, led by Claire Cooper, Director of Services and members of our wider team. You are welcome to join us for one or both, depending on your interests.

For over 25 years, Daybreak has specialised in delivering Family Group Conferences (FGCs) across the social care sector. We have built deep expertise in applying Family Group Decision Making (FGDM) as a relational, family-led model that empowers families to develop their own solutions to the challenges they face.

With FGDM now recognised as a key element of the Government’s vision for children and families’ services in England, our team has been actively developing ideas around how FGDM could be embedded at various levels of the children’s and families’ service system. We have also been exploring the systems and contextual factors that influence the effectiveness of FGDM in achieving positive outcomes.
