Programme Manager - London

We are looking for a new Programme Manager to join our team and oversee our Family Group Conference service throughout the London Boroughs of Bromley and Hackney.

Are you a passionate operational manager, skilled at leading remote teams, and with versatile communication styles? Do you have a progressive, forward-thinking perspective on social care services? Are you dedicated to ensure high-quality work for families and young people, every time?

We are seeking to appoint an individual with strong programme management skills and confidence working with data, whilst also being relational and collaborative in their interactions with colleagues and service partners.

We are a leading charity in the UK offering Family Group Conferences (FGC) at an exciting point in our history where we are exploring and actively building new and innovative ways to work alongside families and the community. This is within the backdrop of Government-led changes in the delivery of Family Group Decision Making as a whole (of which FGCs are an example of), and we are working alongside key partners to help broaden and diversify restorative, family-led support. If you are keen to get creative and explore new opportunities alongside managing and leading an excellent core service, we would love to hear from you.

It would be desirable to have a background in Solution Focused Problem Solving practice and/or Family Group Decision Making, with experience-based knowledge of the Children's Social Care sector and an awareness of the current challenges that families and young people are facing. However, this may be an opportunity for an experienced programme manager from the charitable and/or public sector to embark on upskilling in Family Group Decision Making practices and develop practitioner skills.

The role is hybrid, with one day per week at the Local Authority office in Bromley, and one day per week at the Local Authority office in Hackney. A successful candidate would also need to actively work in person with commissioners, external partners, and communities in and around Bromley and Hackney on a regular basis, depending on service needs. Willingness to travel to other areas, depending on service need and growth is needed.

DETAILS

  • Salary: £36,000 - £39,000 per annum pro rata, depending on experience

  • Location: The role is hybrid, with one day per week at the Local Authority office in Bromley, and one day per week at the Local Authority office in Hackney. There is also occasionally travel to Southampton (Head Office) for meetings and other areas, based on operational need.

  • Working pattern: 30 hours per week; to discuss schedule with the successful candidate.

  • We are committed to safeguarding and all posts are subject to an Enhanced DBS Check, two satisfactory references and proof of right to work in the UK.
