FAQs about our Training Services

  • The majority of our courses are facilitated by our Training Manager’s Alison Powney and Michaela Stay. Check back soon for trainer bios.

  • We follow a clear training pricing structure, which is reviewed at least annually. We aim to ensure that our courses are as affordable as possible for both independent practitioners, and organisational bookings. As a charity delivering as well as training, it is important to us that families and communities have access to highly-skilled practitioners to enable them to get the most of the support being offered.

    Practice Essential Courses, e.g. FGC or FNM Coordinator Courses

    • One day: £225 per trainee

    • Two day: £375 per trainee

    • Three day: £545 per trainee

    Continuous Professional Development Courses, e.g. Domestic Abuse in FGCs

    • Half day: £100 per trainee

    • One day: £175 per trainee

    • Two day: £250 per trainee

    Organisational Bookings: For organisations wishing to book for our Trainers to deliver group training, prices start from around £1540 per day, catering for 15 attendees. However, each course can vary in its requirements and pricing. We’d encourage you to get in touch so that we can tailor a course to your needs. Organisations booking multiple places or courses can benefit from discounts. Head to the ‘Do you do discounts’ FAQ for more info.

  • To support our Daybreak Independent Coordinators with their ongoing professional development, we offer 50% off all training courses. A discount code will be provided once onboarding is complete.

    For other independent Coordinators, we aim to price our training at affordable levels and therefore choose not to offer discounts - except if under a one-off promotion. Keep watch on our social media to be informed about these.

    We do provide some payment options. Please review the relevant FAQ for information on these.

    For Organisations, we offer a pricing incentive for repeat bookings.

    • Five for Five: Organisations booking 5 or more places at once for any Daybreak-hosted courses (online or in-person) will receive a 5% discount on the total invoice. Valid for bookings within a 12-month period.

    • Pick n Mix Offer: We offer a Pick n Mix discount to support organisational training. Book 3 or more training courses (any mix of our set programmes) at the same time, and receive a double-% discount relevant to the number of bookings, e.g. 3 courses, 6 % discount. Courses must be delivered within 18 months of invoice date. Discount is applied automatically at invoice stage.

  • Your booking is only confirmed once we have received full payment or a valid Purchase Order number.

    Payments can be made via our online system. Should you not be able to pay online, please contact us to arrange a BACs payment.

    Payment by Instalments

    We offer instalment options to help with affordability. You can pay in 2 or 4 equal parts. If you’d like to explore this option, please email training@daybreakfgc.org.uk.

    For this option, we’ll provide a discount code to use with our payment system. Please note: your place is only secured once full payment is received and must be paid no later than 2 weeks before the course date. Refund terms still apply.

  • Daybreak-Hosted Course Bookings (Individual Participants)

    • More than 2 weeks before course start date:

      • Full refund

      • Reschedule within same financial year

      • Reschedule beyond same financial year, subject to additional fees

      • Rescheduled date must be within 6 months of booked date

    • Less than 2 weeks before course start date:

      • No refund

      • Reschedule within same financial year

      • Reschedule beyond same financial year, subject to additional fees

      • Rescheduled date must be within 6 months of booked date

    External Organisation Group Booking:

    • More than 8 weeks before course start date:

      • 50% refund or credit note if unpaid.

      • Reschedule within same financial year to secure same pricing

      • Reschedule beyond same financial year, subject to additional fees

      • Rescheduled date must be within 9 calendar months of original booked date

    • Less than 8 weeks before course start date:

      • Reschedule within same financial year to secure same pricing

      • Reschedule beyond same financial year, subject to additional fees

      • Rescheduled date must be within 9 calendar months of original booked date

  • For organisational bookings where our Trainer comes to you, please note:

    • Course fees exclude venue hire.

    • Organisations must arrange and pay for a suitable venue and delegate expenses.

    • Trainer travel and accommodation are included up to a 3-hour (~100 miles) single journey from Head Office.

    • For longer travel, additional costs will be discussed at time of booking to ensure safe travel.
