Our continued London Borough of Bromley partnership

The London Borough of Bromley has appointed Daybreak as a continued partner for providing Family Group Conferences. As an existing partner, we were keen to retender for the services. We are delighted to have been awarded the contract for a further five years.

Working with Bromley's Children Social Services, Daybreak offers families the opportunity to have a Family Group Conference. A Family Group Conference - or FGC - is an opportunity to bring a support network together. The group works together to create a safe plan of action to help resolve challenges. They can discuss different options and agree together what will work for them. Everyone can speak and share their views - including the child or children, whose voices are especially important. Discover more about what a Family Group Conference is on our blog.

Over the next five years, we anticipate supporting approximately 500 families in Bromley. Our Coordinators work to ensure families are well-prepared and able to offer support. The Conference is voluntary, and we empower parents and families to make their own decisions and plans to help keep their children safe. We are there to facilitate and ensure that everyone is heard.

We know that families are experiencing a range of challenges in their lives. These include challenges with mental health, substance use, poverty, or homelessness. We are here to help parents identify people who can help them. Together, they create a plan for practical, emotional, and safety support. These plans empower parents in their ability to provide safety for their children.

We are looking forward to continuing to work with the Bromley community in 2024 and beyond. To do this, we are extending our Coordinator team. If you want to work with families in the Bromley area, find out more about our
Coordinator positions or come along to our next recruitment webinar.
